EDP I think is a nice balance between the fresh/piercing scent of the EDT and the (in my personal opinion) awesome depth of the Parfum. I've personally found the performance of the EDP has been quite good, the scent stays on my skin pretty much all day, with pretty decent projection for the first several hours, but obviously that could be different for you.

If you like the EDT, buy the EDT. You are not guaranteed to be happy with the EDP based off liking the EDT. My two cents on longevity is that EDP lasts all day on me, EDT is fairly weak after 10 hours, but that is not the metric by which to make a decision between the two, you have got to smell them.

That sounds basic, but doing that is not easy in the perfume market. Bleu de Chanel has distinct phases from opening, middle, to base. It is bold and distinct for longer than any deodorant or body spray. It smells fancy, which is not the way you would describe a shower gel or deodorant. It's that modern young adult smell taken to a new level.I have the EDT and I like it but don't love it I agree it's a bit too citrusy. However, I bought Platinum Egoiste recently and they gave me a small sample of bleu de Chanel Parfum along with it. I just thought it was going to be a more potent version of the EDT but really its just like they removed all the things that I disliked about the EDT.Bleu de Chanel Parfum was a very strong performing fragrance when I sampled it, but the bottle I bought recently from a highly reputable seller (The Perfume Shop) has pretty horrendous performance. By that, I mean I can’t smell it on myself after about 2-3 hours and it sits very close to the skin and only projects (to my nose) for about 20-40 minutes.
